TROUBLESHOOTING

Here are some suggestions to common problems

Water Problems:
  • If your water isn’t turning on, make sure you have paid your water bill.
  • If your toilet is overflowing, turn the knob (water supply handle) behind the toilet so that the water turns off, then call us immediately, before any water damage occurs. Clean up all water that gets on the floor. (Remember that there is a $75 charge if we have to come and unclog your toilet. We highly recommend getting an accordion style plunger to avoid clogged toilets. Also, please remember that toilet paper and human waste are the only things that should be going down your toilet.)
  • If your toilet is not flushing and/or overflowing AND you have water coming up in your tub/shower and/or sink, this could be a main sewer line clog. Turn off the water as noted above and call our after-hours emergency number IMMEDIATELY 360-656-6084
  • If your toilet is continually running remove the lid and check if the flapper chain has come disconnected from the arm or if it is stuck under the flapper valve. Reconnect to arm or lift up on arm to pull chain out from under flapper and re-set tank lid.

Heat Problems:

  • If your heat is not working, make sure you have paid your electricity and/or gas bill.

Electrical/Lights/Outlets:

  • If you have an appliance that is not working try switching the correct breaker off and on a couple times, leaving it in the on position.
  • If you have lights that are not working try replacing the bulb with one you know works, or switching the correct breaker a couple times leaving it in the on position.
  • If you have an outlet that is not working you might have a tripped circuit breaker. First, turn off and unplug some items that are plugged into outlets on the circuit. Then, try switching the corresponding breaker to the off position then back to the on position. You may need to do this a a couple times. Leave in the ON position. If this does not fix the problem, look for GFI outlets on the circuit. Press the TEST and RESET buttons. If this fixes the problem but the breaker continues to trip, then you have too many things plugged into the outlet, this is especially common in older homes. DO NOT over load circuits.
  • Remember that you are not allowed to use space heaters in your home or apartment.
  • Try keeping items unplugged if you do not frequently use them. This will save you money on your electricity bill too!
  • If you have any questions please do not hesitate to give us a call!
